The Girl who always has a Sonreir on her Face :)
December 10, 2012
Nì Haö Friends! Assalamu’alaikum! I am a freshmen student of Mindanao
State University Iligan Institute of Technology. You can call me “Far”
but people usually call me “Parxiang”. Behind those nicknames is my
unusual given name it’s Farzeah Bendoy Jaafar. Jaafar? Hmmmm. Do you
smell something? Yes, I am a half-Muslim, specifically Tausug. I’m
turning 18 next year in the month of August. Furthermore, I am an
Ambassador of PeaceTech which builds peace through technology with the
use of ICT. I am also a member of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines and
attended different camps in our country. I graduated in High School
with flying colors and I do really hope I would be doing it again in
college. When I don’t have something to do, I watch movies through my
laptop. Especially those movies with “Vampire Stuffs”, like different
series of Twilight and seasons of Vampire Diaries. I’d like to read the
book of the two movies but I hesitate because it’s very long and I guess
I’m not a bookworm. J You know, I got easily bored reading a very long
paragraph. How much more reading a very thick book with different
series? LOL. It’s really not my type. I prefer watching them on the
monitor. J So much for that, a thing that could represent my whole being
is a SMILEY J because I am a person who has a smile on my face even
though I am in pain. For me, it’s my defense mechanism not to depress
myself with problems. To end this short sneak peak of myself, a little
advice to you folks, just this; “Never FROWN because you’ll never know
who’s gonna fall in love with your SMILE”. Always bare Sonreír on your
faces! :)
*1 IPAG: A World Class Performance!
The Integrated
Performing Arts guild showcases another world class performance to a lot of
people, making the IITians proud of them. The stage show entitled Three People’s
One Island depicted the three ethnic groups that inhabited The Land of Promise:
Mindanao. These three people are the Lumads, the Muslims and the Christians. 30th day of November embarks another awaited stage show of IPAG. Two days of performing fulfilled the excitement of the crowd and they were
able to show how these three ethnic groups differ from their tradition and
culture even in their perspectives in life with the use of dancing as a medium.
The IPAG didn’t fail to amaze me, the performance was really breathtaking.
After a scene being showed, applauses will come next. Apparently, I can’t take
my eyes with the performers and the musicians, on how they dance in that way
and how they play the instruments very well. The dance was so precise, the
dancers were so graceful, the music was so realistic and the costumes were so
colorful making everything worth to watch. The audience was really eager to
start the show immediately. As a matter of fact, they were shouting “Sugdi na!, Sugdi na!”. The performers
portrayed everything with great emotions making the show really fantastic. As
an IITian, I am really happy and very proud because IPAG just showed a
performance that others could not have and would really make people stand up
and give a very big applause. MAGNIFICO IPAG! :)
